2 ½ axis mill work
A high volume capacity machine uses spinning tools to iteratively remove metal to develop a finished shape. All of our mill work is a removal process. You will pay for the entire piece of material required to machine a finished part. Costs vary depending on the type of material, processes used and quantities run.
2 axis turning work with sub spindle for secondary operations and live tooling
A high volume machine uses stationary tools to remove material from a spinning part (usually for round items). Live tooling gives us the ability to perform some basic milling operations in the lathe, thus not requiring further operations in the mill. The sub-spindle often eliminates the need for secondary and tertiary debur operations. The options eliminate multiple-stage operations and will save on the final cost of production.
